Beechcraft 1900D Airliner
The Beech 1900D Airliner is a high
performance, pressurized, twin-engine, turbo-prop airplane designed and
equipped for day or night flight in IFR conditions, high density air traffic
zones, and known icing conditions. The 1900D Airliner is a growth
version of the Beechcraft Super King Air B200 corporate aircraft.
Many King Air features were retained, including the flight deck design,
wing airfoil section, classic "T" tail, and the PT6A-67D free-turbine engine.
The flight deck in the
B1900 is a maze of gauges, CRT screens, and switches. The instrument
panel incorporates the EFIS system. This system uses two CRT screens
per side. The upper screen is the EADI (attitude indicator), and
the lower one is the EHSI (heading indicator and CDI.) The center
console contains the throttles, prop levers, and condition levers.
The 1900D pressure hull
is a squared oval that is approximately 4' 6" wide and 5' 11" high.
This allows for comfortable movement of passengers during loading and unloading.
The aircraft seats 19 passengers.
